Huge thanks for this video, and the guide, and the site for hosting the files!!! 10/23/2017, this method worked for me after being told by Google support that there was nothing they could do. Followed each step, very carefully, and now I'm back in my phone. I tried using 7.1.1 first, and that didn't work. After flashing the phone back to 7.0.0 (NBD91P, Nov 2016), this worked exactly as described. Thanks so much!!!

On Nexus 5X Android 7.1.1, can't get Google Account Manager unistalled. It dosen't change to "com.google.android.gsf.login", it remains there as Google "Account Manager version 7.1.1". Tried it multiple times, did the Terminal commands again and made sure they are correct and also started over with a complet factory reset again. Still the same problem.
