Great knife for everyday use, light, affordable price, fits well in the hand and is easy to carry in your pocket. Much more expensive knives collect dust on my shelf, but for some reason Byrd Harrier 2 is always in my pocket . Overall I am happy with purchase

I've had good experiences with the Byrd knives that I have, namely the Cara Cara 2, the Meadowlark, and the Tern. The Tern is particularly good for me in terms of size and non-locking blade, making it a good choice for EDC here in the UK, and I do like the jimped thumb ramp and finger choil. Those G10 handle scales are definitely an upgrade over the FRN scales on the Delica. I might well pick up a Harrier 2 if I see one at the right price - Byrd knives are generally much more affordable than Spydercos in the UK.

Spend a little extra and get a Raven IMO

I just happened to pick up a Harrier 2 this week, to get a feel for the size of the Endela. I previously owned a Meadowlark 2, Tern, and Finch (which mimic the Delica, UkPK, and Ladybug.) Very strong knife and Byrd's 8cr is pretty decent (and getting 10% off at Whitemountainknives.com doesn't hurt. I'm still going to carry my higher end Spydies but this makes a good beater. Thanks Kevin.

I wish they would just go to BD1 that you use in some of their byrds

Go for broke and go BD1n. Then they would never sell another Delica.

I like the look much better than the Raven 2, but I don’t get why they went with 8Cr over the BD-1 used in the Raven. I’d probably grab one if it was BD-1.

I'd be more interested in seeing a cut test against a Tenacious. (like steels, 2 different factories).
