I had that same sense of freedom when I grew up too, Neil, but I don't think today's kids experience that. I played outside until dark but today the kids have so many electronic gadgets and do not have the same joys. I feel for them really because I think, I grew up in the best of times. They do not miss those days - most never had them. A lovely song really!

neil, ryan, our garden was not a commons to the front of our homes.. it was the unobstructed yards (gardens) to the back of the houses one next to the other all down the blocks. there weren't keys in the doors....there were no keys. a time in me life you wanted to inspire and so you did. thank you. jbt

I love the Echoes CD and the Echoes, The Story DVD! The music is wonderful. The stories behind the songs really are terrific and the locations in Ireland are beautiful. The DVD is very well crafted. I'm hoping that the DVD will win some awards at the two upcoming film festivals and garner some much deserved recognition for Byrne and Kelly and everyone involved.
