Recorded for Monash University. This part explores Byron's account of the visiting the Battle of Waterloo site in 1816, one year after Napoleon's defeat. His poetry articulates his self-identification with Napoleon: Byron was devastated by the French loss in itself, but saw it as emblematic of his personal disappointments too.
