@@goenthusiast6761 That's why that person said to Trinidad and to Byron Lee. You must be Jamaican for trying to make a distinction...you people are always trying to elevate yourselves. Sickening...

@@hoped6676 Greetings! No, I am not Jamaican. You wrote, "you people are always trying to elevate yourselves". Is it bad to try to elevate yourself? I wish that more people would try to elevate themselves instead of accepting their circumstances when those circumstances are unfavorable. GO E

I'm in my early 40's. This is my parent’s soca. Sweet soca. I grew up on the tail end of this, and the modern stuff like Hinds, and Montano...But old school soca conjurers up memories of backyard bbq's and picnics in the park from a time past.

It's amazing how one comes to know something. If I hadn't been a fan of British murder mysteries, I never would have known this band existed-or heard their music. Thank you, Death in Paradise for using this music, and thank you Byron Lee and the Dragonaires for creating it!
@goenthusiast67613 жыл бұрын
@Medic Webber: Nice comment! Be advised, however, that Byron Lee did not, necessarily, compose the music that he produced. He took the best music from each Trinidad Carnival, improved it with "big band" music, used his own singers (sometimes), and created albums from each carnival. GO E

This is the great Byron Lee in his glorious shining days sweating in the sun rays days. Let us take this cruise to each musical calypsonian and rega base player or mixer of Award Winners of musical great composers of the Caribbean Islands. Hamilton was one of Byron Lees' Jamming favourite. Byron Lee energized his seasoned blends of 'Caribbean flavoured condiments; hot like pepper bass rhythms. For several New Years at the Convention Center. “Byron Lee & The Dragonaires - Classic Soca Medley” Ah telling you so from meh memory 2017.
