Some advice to intensify the fear given by the message: 1. Correct some of the grammar, grammar always throws off any mood attempts. 2. Stretch the time on the "I see you" screen to around 2 seconds to let it sink in. 3. Use a typewriter effect and spell out on the black screen "Open the door." and have a knocking sound effect in the left speaker. I've been working with horror genres for a bit, but none of my works are published unfortunately, as well as a bunch of unfinished projects, so I hope this helps with adding more spook to your game. Lmk if this helps. 👍

Hey, UE5 Indie Dev here, as you said, Roblox Devs or whatever y’all call yourself are often looked down on as you said which is why I think I have to say huge respect to y’all. Although there are way to many cashgrabs on Roblox there are also really cool ones! And I think that Roblox studio isn’t much different to normal game engines except the fact that multiplayer is already finished! I’ve tried Roblox studio and failed. This could be used for a lotttt of malicious purposes. For example. You could make the “leave” button active a pop up for “paying” and it will be like a shirt or decal called “reinstate compromised account” or something, like that with bigger ish words so kids don’t understand. Doesn’t even need to make sense just needs to look real. And some kids might even actually fall for it funny enough

imagine doing this with perfect message size, disabling all player input, changing mouse iconto be like how its when player is kicked, freeze the audio, add the reconnect button and make it teleport you to the same game, add the leave button and make it kick the player out of the game, freezing player rendering, and saying some scary stuff like i know your location and ip, then showing random numbers and their country, you might say some of these are not possible, but they are recreatable, like instead of freezing player input you can anchor the player and make a loop that doesnt allow the camera to move, or to freeze rendering you can use viewport frames and collect the current frame, or to freeze the audio you can get currently playing audios and loop them.

I've never had an extremely popular game but I used to enjoy messing around with all of the players by making creepy messages too and I even had a pathfinding NPC that I'd drag around and it would appear rarely via math.random and if it appeared it would delete all of the other NPCs in the game and to scare people even more, I actually dragged the pathfinding NPC around to make it even scarier. I also had an entire replica of the backrooms inside the game for a short time too. It was so rare for the pathfinding NPC to appear that sometimes I just used DEX explorer to just drag it out of lighting. I used to love making games with creepy things like this and I think at one point I even attempted to remake a disconnected error. I actually made people think the game was haunted when it turns to night back then, I've made fake game loading screens too which was pretty funny.

The hardest main mode of the game Fallen mode recently got an rework and they bringed the fan-loved hidden wave where ypu needed to speedrun the mode to get it (Hidden wave was removed in 2021) To activate the Hidden wave; 1- Put 3 numbers specifically at the right order 2- Get your bade health to 1 (basically making you die to anything) 3- Beat the fallen king in 45 seconds. (This might've changed) When you activate the wave fallen king does not die but gets mad at you and teleports away. Then an mysterious voice Talks with you trough dialogues. Then the game kicks (!) you "You have been Kicked from the game. Reason : Beating the Fallen king" Then every text pn the message starts to randomize. After that you are greeted with a 1 Million hp fallen king with 60% shied (basically 1.6 million if you dont have anything that pierces defense) And let me tell you, THIS MODE IS HARD.

Just for anyone wanting to do this I would be really careful with the jokingly hacking threats. Those are against Roblox ToS and can get the game removed or even your account terminated. If u end up using this u need to make sure that it's clear that it was fake. Like either a few seconds after or something along those lines. As well as some other api ways to get scammed/hacked. Showing the fake scare warning is funny sure, but showing a step-by-step guide on how to do it to potentionally scam/hack other users isn't super fun either.

Yep I looked it up. For any nerds it falls under Roblox Community Standard's Security, Misusing Roblox Systems, Disruptive Content and Behavior: "Uploading content that contains obfuscated code or hidden scripts that mislead end users or create disruptive experiences for them." It could also break Safety, Threats Bullying and Harassment, "Threatening to take over another’s Roblox account or to file false abuse reports against another user". And logically Roblox probably doesn't want you to create account related panic. Technically u could argue the first one is meant for something else but either way Roblox definitely doesn't want you to scare people with account related stuff unless its very obvious afterwards that it was just a joke. Then they might let it pass. But implying that u got hacked is very much a thing they don't want anyone doing.

I love when games break the fourth wall using common UIs - I think I know of a game that fakes a game crash to build up to a jumpscare, but I just can't remember the name (or if it really exists in the first place). All I remember was that the game mimicked the Windows Error Reporting dialog perfectly, right down to the icon, progress bar, and wait time. You could probably do something similar in Roblox if you tried - just freeze the player, prevent them from moving the camera, add a white overlay with a fade-in and the Windows 10 loading cursor, then bring up an error reporting window that mimics the Windows one. This would work even better if you imitated crash dialogs for several different platforms too. macOS has a "App Name has quit unexpectedly." dialog with a bunch of optional debugging info, while Android has an "Unfortunately, App Name has stopped" dialog. iOS is complicated because it just goes back to the home screen when apps crash, and every home screen is a bit different, so good luck emulating that. You could scare less-knowledgeable players with a similar popup to the Android crash dialog, just with the iOS style instead. The only problem with this is that each platform has fonts that Roblox doesn't have - Windows has Segoe UI, macOS and iOS have SF UI, and Android has Roboto, none of which are available in Roblox (if I recall correctly). While you could technically solve this problem with decals, it risks being inaccurate and blurry at higher/lower resolutions. We also have the elephant in the room: the fake dialog can't be dragged outside the Roblox window, so you should probably do the scare before the player has a chance to find out what's really going on. Also, at 2:53: Use the eyedropper tool to grab the exact color. Avoid approximating colors whenever possible for the best accuracy.

Looking at the code, it seems like you aren't limited by only getting the country. The website it uses is simply a website that grabs the country, but in theory you could use another API that grabs the province, state or city, as it checks by IP, based on what it appears in the video. If for some reason the website you find doesn't support grabbing the IP on it's own by visiting it, you could grab that first, then pass it into another web request. I'm not a roblox dev, but from my experience in other languages and what was shown - in theory, it should be possible to get a way closer location displayed to the user.
