Great presentation! We actually implemented something very similar at my previous organization, although we weren't aware of the specific design pattern name at the time. We identified around 37 services from the monolith, but in the end, we were only able to extract 6 services. Beyond that point, we encountered numerous complexities, a lack of governance, budget overruns, and several internal political issues. As a result, the project was eventually put on indefinite hold. So There are many factors beyond technical aspects for a project to be successful

Thanks for sharing your experience! It’s a great reminder that the success of these projects isn't just about the technical side-there are so many factors at play, like governance, budget, and internal dynamics

There is no one such book, I read a lot of them :D and mostly thru my own personal experience, and tech blogs by tech companies such as Netflix :). For the microservices patterns series I was inspired by "Microservices Patterns: With examples in Java By Chris Richardson" . Thanks for the question, I should probably make a video on this topic :).
