This has to be among the most beautiful ornithopters there are. The movement of the wings is mesmerising. It 'looks' to handle beautifully too, but that might be the pilot's skills making it look easy. Congratulations from me too Mr Kakuta. Brilliant model engineering.

Amazing work! I wonder have you ever studied aerodynamics before? Or you just made it based on the bird? Further, how does it work under the strong wind?

Thank you. Iam medical doctor. I make ornithopter as hobby. Dragon72 ca fly in wind 3-4meter/second.

@@BZH07614 The dragon's flapping is perfect simulation of the real bird. Actually, if the angle of the flapping is a bit different, it can't work. I am a doctor of mechanics.

Now how do you adjust the wings for it to glide in between flaps? Is this what a bird does?

pretty cool, but still looks like it's way too heavy to manage his flight in air.

Are you planning on making more for sale? Or, perhaps selling a 3D printer blueprint?

This would really freak people out who didn't expect it flying overhead. The mechanical noise could be tweaked to sound like a dragon call.
