@@matthewwallace2981 never does get any easier Mathew, never does brother! But somehow, we learn to cope with it a bit and accept it a bit and we tend to not think about them quite as much but when we find our little keys that unlock those memories then holy hell, watch out and stand clear boys!! Sometimes you’ll be able to control the emotions those keys unlock but sometimes you can’t control it and just let everything go!! It’s ok to admit, we’re all fricken human and it happens to all of us unfortunately and if it hasn’t happened to you yet, it will, and then you’ll understand what I’m talking about! I’m sure you are experienced in burning up spark plug wires on a sac w/ headers. But in case you need a “competition proven” idea. I use the cheap spark plug wire heat protectors that are usually big and loose. On the wires closest contact with header, when you slide the wire protector pinch and fold the excess and use stainless steal Zip ties to keep in in position. Then put another protection cover over the folded one to keep uniform look.

Hey Miss Kimmy I’m not sure exactly if you ever read SRC messages that people send them but I’ve been trying to find out the headers part number that they used for there C-10 build??? I built a 421 sbc with the AFR ALUMINUM heads that have the angled spark plugs and I can not find a set that will fit my 1969 Chevy 1Ton 4x4!! I’m running a manual tranny but I’m running a hydraulic clutch set up so the linkage will not be in the way!! I’m definitely needing a set that have a 1”3/4” tube inside diameter or bigger!! It can’t be that difficult but no one seems to no what I need!! Oh and they should be a long tube designed also!!! Thanks in advance & hopefully Miss Kimmy you get this message and can help me out???? I don’t think that SRC reads the comments??
