Did that aircraft catch fire too?lol
@mikeef74711 ай бұрын
@@gibbyrockerhunter The aircraft didn't catch fire, it was the camera angle changing starting at 0.38 to 0:42, as the planes changes from a vertical position to a horizontal position. During the shift, the plane's tail cuts the view of the rocket exhaust fire in half, giving the illusion that the plane was on fire.
@baconthevainglorious737111 ай бұрын
That’s what I was thinking like the rockets didn’t actually fire till he started rotating so the plane still has to get that fast on its own they just take it from there and basically launch that bitch like a space shuttle. It legit looks like he went directly upwards so that’s like a few hundred feet of altitude gain within like 50-60 ft of forward motion? That’s not how planes usually do 🙀 especially “cargo” planes
@gibbyrockerhunter11 ай бұрын
@@mikeef747 im sure you are right. But what caught my eye wasnt the actual “flame.” It was the amount and quality of carbon hanging around in the low pressure zone at the tail. I can obviously understand the the quality of burn on those rockets isnt top notch. Nor am i anything to fo with aviation. Even compared with other videos, the approach seems to be much less aggressive and the sputter of the rockets gets pushed down relative to the plane. But with this one, it looks like there is alot of heat stored, built, then dissipated. There is totally a tail from the enginers to the back, but it really looks to me like that heat stick around too long and was transferred. Side question. Is “enginer” no longer appropriate term like retard? Or no longer correct? Even google tried telling me it was wrong. Or is this just a common ignorance regurgitated?
@mikeef74711 ай бұрын
@@gibbyrockerhunter I thought it was on fire too, that's why I responded to your comment. At first, when I watched on my iPhone, so when I thought it caught on fire, I took a closer look on a 65 inch TV because I'm farsighted and it's hard for me to see tiny details. The jet engines are on the bottom side of the plane's fuselage, just beyond the wheelbase and the tail starts from the top backend of the fuselage, so the engine at least 10 feet lower, so roughly 20 feet in length from the rocket engine, so the only thing the fire can damage. The video doesn't mention it, but I'm pretty sure this is just an airshow because the plane has Blue Angels painted on it. Regarding your PC question, I'm the wrong guy to ask, I still say Indian for natives, open doors for women and still use biologically born gender pronouns, regardless of desired delusional pronouns!

This is not an impressive demonstration. The whole purpose of JATO is to either shorten the takeoff distance or aid in a heavy takeoff. This example the pilot clearly keeps the aircraft on the runway much longer than normal way past it’s rotate speed to build up energy for this maneuver. He lights off the rockets right at rotation so there was zero aid in shortening the takeoff distance. If he did this exact same maneuver without the JATO as a spectator I doubt to notice much difference in how the maneuver looks aside from the fire and smoke🤷🏻♂️
