Three phase voltage is phase-phase as we all know. But a question stuck in my mind lately is when a voltage is reported for say, L1, is that the potential vs L2, or the average potential vs L2 and L3, or the highest of of the potentials vs L2 and L3? Or some other calculation? Thanks!

Hi @greatrixbrad thanks for the question. Phase voltages are measured between two phases. If you pause the video at 0:40 you can see the display shows U12 U23 and U31. These are the voltages measured between Phase 1 & 2, Phase 2 & 3 and Phase 3 & 1. I hope that answers your question but please let us know if you would like any more information.
