I have watched whole Chanakya Serial. I have read many books on Chanakya like: 1) Corporate Chanakya 2) Chanakya Neeti 3) Leadership Sutra from Chanakya 4)48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene(He admitted all stuff are from Chanakya Arthashastra) And many more.

This is a common myth. Actually,Porus defeated Alexander.The elephant corpse of Porus was a nightmare for the greeks.Alexander did not show sympathy to any of the kongs he defeated on his way to India so the claim that Alexander gave back Porus his kindom is too good to be true.Moreover,the magadha army was too strong for the tired army of Alexander.

Why didn't he capture India?Some people say that Alexander defeated Porus then let him go and then he left India and was killed by the tribals on the way. Just google "Mauryan dyansty map" and u will know how big India was at that time....Mauryan empire was larger than the Roman empire......it includes modern day Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, myanmar and even some part of central asia as well

Mauryan empire was largest empire which united whole indian subcontinent and was called bharat varsh. It had largest economy in the world with gdp share of 33% to 35% and this legacy continued for 2000 years making india no 1 economy in world

One more story is there, Dhanand said that this normal teacher can do nothing. Chanakya replied Shikshak kabhi samanya nahi hota desh ka bhavishya uske godi me khelta hai. Meaning: A TEACHER IS NEVER NORMAL, CONTRIES FUTURE PLAY ON HIS LEGS...

Chanakya is a given name derived from the word "Chanaksha" = wise. For his wise worldly knowledge. Kautilya is also a given name based on the word "Kutila" = cunning. For his cunning political and defence strategies. Vishnigupta is his original name. Teacher by profession, minister by position, king maker by achievements but saintly by nature.
