You can make him lose count if you destroy several at once. It's quite funny to take out four at once, and then killing the final one makes him think "that's TWO of my airfields you've hit!"

Wow. Great capture technique with the Air Force general! That was always my most difficult general to fight with the Superweapon general. I had no idea you could do this; I'll have to remember it.

How is it difficult when you one shot his planes? Superweapon strat is to turtle until your economy is very powerful then spam tomahawks garrisoned humvees and avengers, with particle cannon support.

@@ShadowHunter120 King Raptors are tough nuts to crack with missiles, EMP or otherwise. Usually you have to overwhelm them. It's fun doing that with (Toxin) stinger sites, though quad cannons are better.

I'm amazed that worked too. Normally he has lots of king raptors and commanches patrolling his base; I guess he doesn't build those until after he's attacked you, so speed-capturing like this is a free win. That's really cool.

1:04 ish - colonel Burton can scale the cliff and get rid of those stinger nests quite quickly, and that gives you 2 particle beams to use elsewhere. Maybe you should make him the General, you'll only lead him to an early grave.

Still something to improve. At leang probably: aurora bombers at certain point. You only need around: 10 SW (3*2 ) ( command centers and some other buildings. You then cut that waiting time. By having aurora bombers for barracks and air fields (and dozers) Will save like 3 minutes?? And for other generals, reduce the overkill sws , then have aurora's for barracks etc. At Laser: 4 aurora's could have reduced those power plants without waiting 4 minutes

every general can cuddleup in his own base and never leave that spot, build only super weapons and use them at the same time like you did and your done. Only with toxin general is a little bit harder because of his super weapon

MiGs seem to target your most forward structure/unit untill it died, (closest to their airfield). Place something close and when they target it out sone AA units in front of it.

It is good to see her general tactic of turtling behind EMP towers 24/7 while making countless particle cannons and destroying the enemy without leaving the base is also used in speedruns, I guess it could be seen as bad if wanting faster runs from unit rushing, but good for someone who likes turtling like me at least.

That's part of why I don't overall care for superweapon general, as her tactic is boring. But for a speedrun anything goes. =) For turtling I actually prefer laser general, and once the enemy is crippled, I send in a small ground force as a cleanup crew.

I play with the shockwave mod and both the toxin general and air force general are stupidly difficult. Air Force because he bum rushes you with tons of aircraft and toxin because of a few units added by the mod, his battle buses do absurd damage (able to 1 or 2 shot a defensive structure) and then he also swarms you with artillery. I usually build defensive line since I can’t micro well (get overwhelmed too quickly) but hard is well... hard sadly I haven’t completed a hard playthrough of generals challenge yet with any general.

Some ppl have different strategies. Depends on the person. I played differently. In mind view, I would have had a bunch of defenses. One of each barracks,war factory,air field,bunch of power plants w/bunch of laser canons.

That's the role of the Superweapon General. You don't need to make forces to rush unto your opponents. You just build defenses. Spam aurora after aurora, particle cannons (superweapons), and general powers.

In the @47min scenario I wouldn’t be doing those things. My plan of attack would be to put defense turrets around the base. Over by the bridge,between the office building &apts buildings. While in the process have whole lot of power stations. Supply pads, a factory & barracks. With the laser canons&a airfield. Oh I kinda remember turnin off the music it was so annoying. @56 min this general scenario I wouldnt have my barrecks like that. It would be lots of Sams& fire bases. While the factory&barracks would be almost next to the supply platform structure. The airfield would have some space between the supply structure. The power station would be few.

Tao scenario. I branched out a lot larger. I built a supply center,sam turrets,firebases.a barracks,few power plants, airfield. While then laser canons. Had a good operation going.👈🏻Just a few things on top of my head. Mixed in with I think I played or that’s what I would do.

38:10, how the hell, by the time I have my barracks up he had 2 particle cannons, I only just managed to get my airfield up and the AI had 3 working particle cannons. The ai seems much slower/weaker in your game. There's no way I could get 3 supply bases up and only 2 particle canons to contend with!

I don't think Shockwave has properly working challenge modes. The demo general seems to be stuck on brutal/hard and the multiple new units/balances/mechanics will require some getting used to.
