C.D. Brooks - Ryan's Hope

Hallelujah I've been listening to CD Brooks since the mid 1990s and it's not until Sunday June 23rd 2019 that I learned he preached " Ryan's Hope " This man CD Brooks had major shares in the factors of influence pie chart that lead to my accepting Christ and joining God's Remnant Church and even in my studying for the ministry. Then, like my mother , he suffered and died from pancreatic cancer . Like the one or two of the reformers burning at the stake testifying about the light that will shine I pray that God will use me to plunder hell and populate heaven and not be left behind in Jesus name amen .

I may asking an rudimentary question but why is this titled Ryan’s Hope?

That was the name of a soap opera in the 80s (and maybe earlier). Pastor Brooks apparently had a series of sermons named after the popular soaps for some reason.

He’s had other sermons named after soaps. There’s one called “Search for Tomorrow” which is another 80s soap as well
