For the question around 8 minutes, I think you'll get an error? For the question around the mark 29:33, I think it'll be the same value, but positive? For the question around the mark 33:46, I think the answer will give the previous large number plus 1 (for example intMax is only actually 100, the output will be 100+1?). I got most wrong, but at least I'm learning, thanks for this lesson!

Can you add, for example this program you're teaching to open in a windows app.? Perhaps a Window App would have to be made than use this code in that application. Your tutorials have been very helpful in developing foundational skills. I hope this question makes sense, and perhaps this would be something outside of the scope of your tutorials or maybe something you may be willing to do in future tutorials, which leads me to ask if you have plans to conduct future tutorials. I tried to search through MS help but really didn't find an answer. Many thanks!!

With the float variable, don’t you have to append an ‘f’ to the end of the number otherwise the compiler will default it to double? Also shouldn’t a double be used for money because of the number of units after the decimal point makes it more accurate? Thanks for the videos. They are very clear and easy to follow.

if we use int main() and not void main() we dont need return 0; at the end of the code?
@CodeBeauty4 жыл бұрын
Without getting into much detail, you should know that both int and void are return types of a function, and in the case of main() indicate the type of value that your main function is going to return to the operating system. void main() indicates that main is not going to return anything, and int main() indicates that it is going to return an integer value. In an ideal case scenario, both should work, but in a situation where your code has some error, you can get into problems if you are using void main(), so it is recommended to use int main(). As I said, int main() means that main() is going to return an integer, so in the earlier versions you had to write return 0; at the end of main() However, depending on your version of C++, the compiler won't see it as a mistake if you omit return 0; (it will be a default if there is no explicit return) What I would recommend if you are interested in understanding functions, because they are used very often, is to check out my C++ functions playlist. 😊

Hi Saldina - Such brilliant videos. Please keep them coming. I decided to be pro-active and extend the program illustrated in this segment and got the results that I have included below. When I compared them with the values in the illustrative table I found a couple of differences in the values quoted for “char min value” and “double min value”. To do this I used the expressions;- SCHAR_MAX SCHAR_MIN numeric_limits::max() numeric_limits::min() I am new to programing and C++ so am I correct in the values that I have obtained? char max value is 127 char min value is -128 Double max value is 1.79769e+308 Double min value is 2.22507e-308
