That's the problem with the modern generation and why their music is such trash. Early hip-hoppers were heavy on R&B because that's what we heard in our houses before we began to hear "deejaying." So, our music was heavily influenced by thought, creativity, and a response to what was going on the world. Classic R&B provided/provides those impulses.

Even emcees have turned into auto-tuned crooners who rely on harmonizing rather than pure lyricism. The missing pieces seem to actually be soul, funk and disco, which were more prevalent in sampling just 10 years ago.

Biggie was an incredible rapper but I believe he stays in the conversation because his death is tied to 2 PAC. He was beyond talented but PAC was a different type of machine

@@Dondemarcoo7 spell check writes PAC name like this still don’t know why😂 but you just ignored all that praise I gave Biggie. But no you can’t compare the two because 2 PAC had a message in his music Biggie was just trying to make people dance. Also PAC shot 6 movies and and fought multiple cases after fame, even sat down for a year and still out worked Biggie. Recorded a double album All Eyes On Me and Makaveli in less than a year he was on Death Row. Makaveli was so good he dissed Jay Z on the intro and Jay Z still copied a song off that album Me and my Girlfriend and PAC still has the best version😂😂

I am glad Vlad that you point out the fact that BIG made such a huge impact in just telwo albums whereas Pac had like 4 albums and many songs yet, BIG is arguably better than Pac.I have always said that I prefer quality over quantity.BIG just did that in his first two albums.He was ahead of his time and the best to do it ever.He is the GOAT.BIG legacy is still strong.He just had his 50th anniversary in NYC and shut down the whole city.He is and always be the real King of N.Y.
