Greg, you must have magic! I never knew my fingers could be so flexible and free! Following your separating hands exercises, I can now reach a stage very fast where it feels completely different, like each of the fingers has a spring, running on the keys by itself without my control ! After this fast finger exercises, whole hand warmed and flexible. I followed your words: thinking the fingers, listen to the music, not to think the notes, ignoring small mistakes. Indeed, this is a brain exercises. What a surprise! Is this what the so-called muscle memory feels like? You are a wonderful teacher! Waiting for more tricks 😅

Amazing it really works. And yes tapping the lid really makes a difference. When I have a ghost note (usually finger 4) i hear in my mind the tap on the lid (which I did before) and it instantly fixes the articulation. Thank you so much

I missed this one, thank you, I find the LH of this exercise challenging. I will try your advise, you make it seem very easy but I like the wrist movement and the division of one measure into two, genius. 👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏

Thank you for taking the time to post these practices👏🏼! It’s my dream to own a Kawai one day☺️ Who would you say is your favorite piano maker? It’s a very generalized question since pianos from all brands are nuanced but is there a sound that you tend to lean towards more?

Hi Greg, Would you say that when you do your four finger fast action on the closed fallboard and flop to the floor relaxed that the individual fingers are in any way pulling the piano key towards you or would you say that it is just an instantaneous quick sharp up and down action of the finger. Thank you so much for all your deep insight and help. Brian

It's a sharp action with scratching movement..... Especially helpful with fast tempos

@@gregniemczuk Thank you so much Greg it was the scratching movement that I was lacking. All the best to you. Brian

At the beginning I would think more "rotation" should be used.
