I don't think romantic love is real or special, and I think romantic relationships are a bad thing. I think humans should just stop being in romantic relationships. I feel like this world would be a much better place without romance than it is with it. Romance seems like an ugly thing. Many fathers and brothers are hoping that their daughters/sisters never date or get married and remain single for their whole life due to the dangers and risks of romantic relationships. The overprotective father/brother thing is proof that romantic relationships are a bad thing, and that this world would be a much better place without them. If someday that the human race ditches the concept of romance and romantic relationships, and got rid of stuff like dating and marriage, fathers/brothers would be happy about it since they wouldn't ever have to worry about their daughters/sisters ever dating if that ever happened. People (especially women) should avoid being in a romantic relationship and be single for life since romantic relationships are dangerous.

Im 99% sure this is due to the fact that it was a Walter Afanasieff production. Both Céline and Mariah had been working with him since their beginning at Sony (he was behind “Love Takes Time” in 1991 and “Can’t Let Go” in 1992 for Mariah, and “Beauty And The Beast” in 1991 and “Nothing Broken But My Heart” in 1992 for Céline - all 4 songs were #1 hits!) but 1993/1994/1995/1996 is when his collaboration with Mariah really spawned a lot of her biggest hits (“Dreamlover”, Hero”, “Without You”, “All I Want For Christmas”, “One Sweet Day”), that’s also when Mariah was married to the head of Sony, Tommy Mottola (basically, Céline’s boss) and I wouldn’t be surprised if behind the curtains, there was now some strong direction, initiated by Mariah really, that he shouldn’t be used to help Céline achieve hits anymore, they did record “Love Doesn’t Ask Why” together right around the time Mariah and Mottola were getting married, but it was probably made very clear it couldn’t be a single due to his involvement with Mariah (right when “Hero” and “Without You” had become massive hits all around the world). He was even completely removed from the list of producers working on Céline’s 1996 “Falling Into You” album! Interestingly, once Mariah and Mottola separated in 1997, he was hired back to work with Céline, and basically produced all her 1997/1998 hits (“Tell Him”, “My Heart Will Go On”, “Immortality”). Even more interestingly, Mariah completely stopped working with Afanasieff precisely in 1998, when Céline scored her career peak with him, it was Mariah’s decision 100%, not his, she even explained that at that point things had become too “incestuous” (as in, Mariah couldn’t handle that he was so involved with both her and Céline, the very thing that had been put to stop while she was married to Mottola). The timings align way too well, I don’t think any of this is a coincidence.
