【餐桌上的年味】第六集：诏安 - 齐心迎新年
砂拉越华人籍贯众多，从早期的分帮分派，到注册成系统化的公会、会馆等，这些地缘性或血缘性的社团组织，都能很好地照顾与凝集同乡。农历新年期间，砂拉越诏安会馆也会举办新年聚餐，与理事成员联系情谊。诏安传统年菜如虾枣、肉卷、焖饭、火锅等等，都是诏安人逢年过节时必不可少的年菜。
【A TASTE OF CHINESE NEW YEAR】Ep 06: A Sweet Togetherness (ChawAn)
The Chinese community in Sarawak consists of various dialects. The association is established in order to preserve their dialect as this is part of their culture were to boost the spirit of unity among their members. During Chinese New Year, Sarawak Chaw An Association will celebrate reunion dinner together. Traditional ChawAn dishes such as Prawn Meat Ball, Bak-Gergn Meat Ball, Chaw An Braised Rice and Steamboat/Hotpot will be served on the table.

Well done in efforts to preserve Chao Ann culture. Good job! However, if I may say - chefs demonstrating dishes should: 1. Hair neatly tied up or kept away from the face. This is not a hairdo fashion show; 2. Wear a face mask to prevent saliva from falling into the food; 3. No jewelry on hands, including rings or wrist watches. 4. Wear gloves when preparing food. The above simple measures ensure public hygiene and professionalism. There are more Chao Ann dishes that have not been featured in the video. Understandably it could be due to time constraints... well, another video can always be made. All in all, good job and proud to be a 2nd generation Chao Ann Po!
