Jesus said prepare for His return, you do not know the hour. One sure sign that He is coming back as King of Kings and the remnants in Jerusalem must recognise and receive Him, “ “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. 38 Look, your house is left to you desolate. 39 For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’ “ (Matthew 23:37-39) According to above statement:- (a) Jerusalem was destroyed by Romans soldiers in AD 70 and all Jews were barred from entering Jerusalem from AD 135 because of the aftermath of the Bar-Kokhba revolt. - as a result, Israel became an independent country (1948) ; recovery of Jerusalem (1967) ;and US recognise Jerusalem as Capital (2017) are important signs pointing to Jesus’ 2nd coming (b) Remnants of Jews welcome Jesus’ victorious 2nd Entrance into Jerusalem by saying , “blessed is the One who comes in the name of the LORD”. - still no quite yet for only 2% of Jews in Israel are Messianic Jews. - For Romans 11:25 was prophesied by Apostle Paul that the Israelites will still be partially blinded until the fullness of gentiles/full number of Gentiles has come. In a way, this is what was covered by Jesus in the Luke 21 ( All trees sprout leaves including the fig trees) - Only when the fullness/ full number of Gentiles has come, then, “ And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.“ (Zechariah 12:10) For only Holy Spirit can take away their partial blindness so that all the remnants ofJews in Jerusalem can recognise Jesus is their Messiah, then they can receive Him with a big welcome!!! And, we have seen many relevant signs fulfilled (Judah and Jerusalem restored physically) while we are pending for theRomans 11:25 to be fulfilled before Zech 12:10 ; and this is the precondition for Matthew 23:39 to be fulfilled. We don’t know the day and hour, but we can smell that the season of His 2nd coming us near. Whether we know or don’t know the end of all things is near, 1 Peter 4:7-11 is still very valid for today.
