C&O Railway Heritage Days 2024, and a visit from CSX 1776

We visited Clifton Forge Va on Sunday June 23 2024 for C&O heritage days. First we see CSX C210 at Iron Gate, VA. Then a remote job switching cars in the yard. A very cool Chessie System GP30 pulls passengers around the property. The Eastbound Cardinal leaves after its station stop. Then the highlight for us was the elusive 1776. C112 had it mid train DPU. We followed it to Eagle Rock Va. The extra stop in the beginning from C210 was because of a PTC malfunction.
