Excellent recording. Brilliant harpsichord. Monumental and beautiful piece of music. (Each movement shines individually and all three blend well together.)

When Bach shifts key in a chromatic scale formation, it really reminds me of some of Vivaldi's works. The first couple of bars of the first movement at times also sounds like the tune of a Scarletti/Corelli piece. I see that the apple didn't fall too far from the tree & the Bach family are some very talented musicians indeed!

I agree, the first movement feels very "Vivaldi-esque", had there not been so much harpsichord I might've even mistaken it for a Vivaldi piece.

So glad this was performed on harpsichord... Spanyi's shift to tangent piano ruined that series for me.

Beethoven before Beethoven. Far away from Mozart's style with it's crazy contrasts and rawness.
