Your psyching of Yuri is pure devilry. You poke and point until she has an outburst of some kind of hysterical panic. Every time she has to eat. So there should be a lot of made-up things she should do or not do. You don't give up until she's so angry that you don't have contact with her. AND then you are satisfied. You do the same with Mako. When he has been so much attacked that he is a sack. THEN you are satisfied.

I’m convinced something behind the scenes is why Yuri freaks out about that pointing and jabbing with the finger. I’m not sure what sort of shit happens when the camera’s off, but when she panics, it always involves one of: a) food being withheld or taken away; b) Minea and/or Monica biting and chasing her; c) trying to make her follow commands to do things that actually hurt like staying upright instead of on all fours; d) pointing at her super close, especially when the motion looks like they’re going to poke her hard; or e) tearing her away when she clings or tries to come close, especially when she just grabs her by one arm and moves her away. Could some of these just be tantrums? Yeah, sure, she’s the right age for it. But tantrums daily? Sometimes clearly more than once that day? No. Not when the tantrums seem to have common conditions. I’d bet poor Mako turns out the same, he already wanted nothing to do with humans the day he was bought (oh, I’m sorry, he was found abandoned! Poor baby monkey, million sadness) and still seems none too pleased with his human captors when food isn’t involved.
