This place is full of history and you’ll feel it in every old buildings you’ll see. The Mosque-Cathedral caught my attention a lot. I was jaw-dropped upon seeing it inside. I can’t imagine the hard-work of the ancient people who built it. The Viana Palace is also wonderful place to visit in Cordoba. I am covering this place on my own travel channel and just finished uploading the first part. This video gives me more motivation to do better. Thanks for this great video. 👍

Thank you for a measured, superbly narrated, and photographed program. So much prefer to those narrated by flighty twenty-somethings gadding about in blue jeans, and burdened by knapsacks.

Saludos.

Crazy. don Quijote was a character in the Cervantes novel. He, therefore, never passed through Cordoba, having never existed. the narrator talks about the Spanish Inquisition as being in the 19th century!!! the one that started in 1492! If I found these mistakes so easily, it must mean that there are numerous other mistakes. The photograph is great, anyways.

Paula, it was actually 1478 and was put into high gear in 1492.

Cordoba is a beautiful city and easy to get round on foot. The Mezquita is unmissable, though we enjoyed the original Moorish part of the building, rather than it's later Christian additions. Read more on our food and travel blog : chocolatehunters

Of course you are anti Christianity and anti Spanish. You only like the Moors. You wouldn't last a week living under sharia law. It's something to look from afar not live in it.

Inshallah, we will perform Namaz again in this mosque. That day will definitely come. Do not understand that you will survive by committing a crime. This mosque belongs to us. Ours was and will be ours, no one can separate us from this doom.

Shepherd Jews... Actually, it's Sephardim. :) On the other hand, when the word Jews is added, it will be Sephardic Jews.

In portuguese we call "sefardita" ou "sefaradita". In spanish is "sefardi". "Sepharad" is how the jews called the Iberian Peninsula.
