Bonjour. C' est une très belle interprétation de ce concerto de Saint Saens. Il existe une véritable complicité entre la pianiste et la bassoniste avec un grand respect des nuances. Bravo aux deux musiciennes.

What really stood out to me in this performance was how flawless the communication with the pianist was. At times it almost looked like you were "conducting" and using the bassoon as a baton. I think this is an aspect of chamber music that often gets overlooked. I also absolutely love your tone. Overall what a great performance.

@@kasiafg Just wanted to say, thank you for this magnificent performance. I am currently preparing to perform this masterpiece for my senior recital. The more I study this piece the more I uncover its beauty. I keep coming back to this performance because it captures the nuances of the score and the intent of Saint Saens so well. In particular, your first movement is exquisite. It's so emotional, so expressive, and goes so far beyond the notes. You make the bassoon sing so beautifully. Thank you for showing how the Saint Saens should be played! :)

Unfortunate that this performance has been copyright claimed. I hate youtube sometimes. So glad the video remains up though, as this is probably my favorite performance of this work.

Few Fagott players let the First Movememtn wonderful melody come from the infinity and simply be.... without pushing it, without working on it with phrasing solution leaded form the head. It is like butterfly wings... when you touch them the magical powder fall down and the butterfly cannot fly anymore. Thank you Katarzyna, I don't know you personally, I found your video by chance in KZbin but I would like to simply hug you for this first tempo... Andrea Apostoli

Look at it this way--you don't "have" to play it, you "get" to play it. What a privilege!
