राग बैरागी को पंडित रवि शंकर जी ने प्रचलित किया है। यह बहुत ही कर्णप्रिय राग है और भक्ति रस से परिपूर्ण है। इस राग में किसी भी तरह का बन्धन नही है, इसलिये यह तीनों सप्तकों में उन्मुक्त रूप से गाया जा सकता है। यह राग भैरव थाट के अंतर्गत आता है।
