There was a time when aged about 21 when I thought this was a great recording!! But......now at 80... I realise how sharp he plays...understandable on a Haynes flute with sharp LH notes. I still admire his sound and musicianship and went to Paris to take lessons from him in 1969. He is a soloist in the same bracket as Rampal and Galway.

In the beginning of the second movement where the soloist comes in there is a flute from orchestra playing the first bar of the solo too early 4:54 😂. Nice performance other wise
