Thanks for uploading! I was born in Laos of Vietnamese descent and remember eating this (not my favorite, but my brother loves it). I'm glad to have found the recipe so I can pass it on to my sister-in-law who is from Northern Vietnam so she can cook it for my brother. This looks exactly like what my mom made for us growing up. Thanks!

mhmm sap sap la lai! I remember as a child I would sneak into the refrigerator at night to pick out the bamboo and eat them. I guess that's better than the traditional way of sneaking to the cookie jar to eat cookies lol. This dish will always be a favorite of mine and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing the world your Laotian recipes especially for us Lao-Americans like me. I've made so many recipes from your channel and my mother approves of every single dish. Kop jai la lai Nana!

It's hard to find an authentic Laotian cooking channel. One that speaks English as well :/. (I'm the first generation, that grew up on the east, midwest side of the US...) But I'm glad you speak the mother tongue, I can brush up on it. I will have to eventually pass these recipes on to my daughter...😉😍😊😏

@CookingwithNana11 жыл бұрын
Lisa Chai, I didn't add any meat in this video, but if you want, you can add meat before you add the veggies. The meat should be cooked or almost cooked before you add any vegetables that might get too soft.
