It caught my eye and I vibed with the songs/sounds produced. It feels like an album I’d want to play while I’m in Miami for spring break with friends. It is a great album? No. Is it a fun album? Yes

I thought the exact same thing about Twentysomethings being too fast, I bought the album on vinyl and if you put it at a slower speed, WOW it hits so hard! And as for B.O.A.T. I didn’t understand the Pitbull sample UNTIL I realized that she’s literally talking about how always just wants her when she’s taken… “forget about your boyfriend and meet me at the hotel room” LIKE SO GENIUS! Realizing that’s why they chose that specific sample (other than bringing in more Y2K vibes) it just made me appreciate B.O.A.T. Even more! My top 5: 1. Twentysomethings 2. B.O.A.T. 3. couple of tidbits of context from clues she's given herself / things fans have connected: she wrote b.o.a.t, june gloom and twenty somethings in real time last year before, during & after their reconciliation.. all written early-mid last year. in june gloom specifically she dropped a 20 second demo of it the day after they were seen together at Coachella with an original lyric of her asking him if he would go there with the intention of seeing her (i think this was her ultimatum of knowing if he was serious about re-trying the relationship or not).. twenty somethings was written when they re-broke up there’s lyrics in there about new york (where they were at the time) b.o.a.t is her giving herself the closure he didn’t give her, telling herself all the things she wished he’d told her. Chanel No.5 wasn’t actually a single! it was just a present for the fans, she’s mentioned it’s one of her favourite songs she’s ever written & that it embodied c,xoxo so she wanted us to have it early.. Hot Uptown is the official next single and is being pushed to radio! the name dropping in dream-girls is a sample from the-dream's song shawty is da sh*t! & lastly there’s a lot of indication that there will be a c,xoxo deluxe version at some point, with a full pink panthress collab among others! so c,xoxo summer isnt over yet! great review, just my two cents :) (also would highly recommend seeing her live if you get the chance, she's a phenomenal live artist, especially when it comes to the ballads, she sounds better than the studio version and you just feel the emotion even more)

I still don’t get the timing of June Bloom..is it supposed to be literally June, when she released that in early April and it probably was written earlier than that? Never made sense to me, unless it was the prior June when it actually happened or the weather was similar to June Gloom in early spring reference. Also, Sabrina’s Cindy Lou Who was part of her Christmas album, so that would mean written the fall before the Shawn gossip lit up. Didn’t she lose a prior boyfriend to another actress or singer?

Okay so the June Gloom lore is TEA. streets saying it’s about Sabrina carpenter.. Some of this album is so real it sheds a light on SM’s dark side…was there some emotional abuse going on? Did CC know he had Canadian fury fr? There were def some undercurrents there…it did seem like she was an anxious attachment to his reactive avoidance personality. I always felt they needed couples therapy after he admitted he raised his voice to her, and there were rumors of constant fighting between them. Once the infatuation stage wears off, that’s when the real work begins in a relationship. Maybe they were too damaged by their exploitation as young pop stars….? Camila always had her family close, but Shawn’s seemed to,throw him to,the wolves..wonder if he was one of Diddys victims? He def has had some trauma in his past…reminds me of MJ somehow….the anxiety, the depression, the withdrawals to be with his bros….He wanted her so bad for so long, and when he got her, he couldn’t handle it…so sad!

What he did was string her along, he only wanted her when she was taken. There is a quote about him telling her in the elevator essentially he’s doing something he might not be able to hear her and maybe they can hang later to which she finally gets the clue he doesn’t want to be with her and all she wants from him is for him to put his phone down and hold her be with her. He’s wishy washy as she mentions his excuse of it’s never the right time for him but he won’t leave her alone he messes with her head, tells her things she can’t get out of her head so she needed to do it for herself and ended what he never did. And he immediately started to date others and get in relationships where he I guess he never wanted to be with her. In his song what the hell are we dying for and her song they both mention same things your not mine and I’m not yours plus living with out you baby is not living at all so what the hell are we dying for. Eddie Benjamin said shawn was conflicted and if you’re not willing to die for something then why be in it. And yes it’s about Sabrina shawn was seeing her although he said he wasn’t dating her probably to win over Camila. He went to her place in feb with flowers he was seeing Sabrina then, and I guess went back over for their June gloom meet up and romp in the kitchen that he will never forget but from there they met backup for public consumption at Coachella knowing Sabrina and everyone would see. That’s all my tea, I miss them and do think she loved him more and still does, not sure if shawn loves her though.
