Impressing the english of this man, he looks like C2 for me, and she C1. He express himself confidently fluently and with knowledge about the subject.
@AnimeOpenningEnding2 жыл бұрын
Not to be rude, but there are several aspects in which he isn’t that good. For example, the way he says the words and stops is not natural. He just keeps on focusing the third word he says, making it very unnatural and a bit forced, as well as showing the lack of fluency. The pronunciation is definitely good, but not the best either. He also doesn’t use any complex grammatical structures. And you really can’t compare the topics of the CAE exam to the ones in a CPE. If you take a look at the questions, most of them were actually about easy topics to talk to, since they are more about our everyday life. I think most would agree in a CPE level, the topics get worse and make it harder. And remember, being confident doesn’t mean you are doing it greatly.

How lovely to hear candidates at C1 expressing themselves so well. Even better, that they are Spanish! 29 years teaching in Spain and still people mock the standards of the level of Spanish people speaking English... They’re not bad but what always bothers me at those tests is how unnatural it all sounds. Two regular american citizens would never have a conversation like that. All those pre fabricated sentences they have in their head and just reciting them over and over again. They’re should try to talk more like everyday people rather than some british business english robots. Its not their fault. The teachers and the tests in general are to blame. To truly sound like a native is extremely difficult and requires years of practising and discipline or a year abroad in an english spoken country where you’re surrounded by that language 24/7 to master it. I know how hard it is because i’m doing it myself.
