Retire old timer here it’s good that you’re trying to show these young guys how to do it. I had one kid and shop with me. They went to a diesel college and kept telling me I’m doing it the wrong way, but when he did his first engine in our shop they had to come in to get it running old school Good job Rob enjoy your video

Great Video, nice job Rob. As a older Diesel mechanic I have never heard about painting head gaskets, however I know you are talking from experience. I'll have to try it on the next head I install. Thanks Rob.

I need to make my 34 million a year just like the CEO's. GM's CEO made 54 million last year. You explain what she does to make 54 million a year? If it wasn't for mechanics the CEO couldn't get to work. You couldn't get to work. Doctors couldn't get to work so mechanics need a pay increase. A SERIOUS pay increase.

Hello there. We use a mixed bag of tools. Snap on sockets and ratchets. Mack spanners and wrenches. Bahco adjustables. Ridged siltsons. Blue point large adjustables made in USA not China. And a load of British and German tools. We have tools for every job and if we haven't we make them. We do Engines up and repair trucks, tractors and farm machinery. So...engineer and CNC shop owner here. Former racer, engine builder, and designed/cut parts for race engine applications. You sir are someone I admire. I know a seasoned wrench when I see one. One thing I teach to the younger vo-tech kids is there is no school that teaches experience.......other than someone with that experience, and you better be taking notes! A piece of paper means dick to me. You do a good job of verbally hitting the hot topics but otherwise just showing it. The major advice I give to the younger ones (I'm not even old yet) is TAKE YOUR TIME....I had literally mostly completed a V twin DOHC engine when my brain realized I put a piston in backwards. Had I spun that engine, it would have hurt financially.
