C1500 OBS Chevy gets Cheyenne grille

Fun fact: in mexico the 97 and 98 obs both came with those grilles from the factory, if you look at the back side of the grille you can see it was made ready for the gmc emblem. For some reason GM didnt bother making a different grille for the cheyenne they just stuck a new emblem over the gmc emblem and done!

Looks great! I wished that I knew about that Bow tie insert. I’ve had my obs Chevrolet with a GMC grill since it was new in 93. First work I was able to afford. Just always wanted a way to put a bow tie back on it. If they had them back then I didn’t know.

That bowtie applies to all models, Silverado, Cheyenne, suburban, from 96-98 in mexico, not necessarilyonly Cheyenne, the 400SS is similar but with the ss bowtie and red trim instead of chrome

Mine is a 94 for your 92 bumper filler will not work you’ll also need the little corner pieces underneath the fenders and new bumper brackets to push the bumper forward a little bit but it’s not to bad

A little info , most car companies make a visually different version off the same blueprint , toyata makes a Lexus , Chevy makes Cadillacs , Denali Tahoe , escalade ,gmc all made by Chevy and have interchangable interior exterior parts , ford makes Lincoln's , same shit different toilet , interceptor crown vics sit on an f150 chasis a Mercury grand marquis has a mustang's engine , 🤯

Yes it should be you might have some screws that don’t line up just because it’s an older model but almost all of them should and you might need to change the bumper filler as well

I got the emblem from obscartel.com it will fit in 89 the core support is not the same so you will have some screws that will be missing but enough to hold it down there tight and you will have to change the bumper filler
