You cannot claim to know more than sifus who are direct descendants of the founders of the art. being spontaneous is one thing but not being rooted in the principles of wing chun is something entirely different. You have your students blindly following your methods when it doesnt seem like you have even trained long enough to be a sifu. Look up wong shun leung look up our lineage before you come here telling people what ancient wing chun and authentic wing chun is. I dont know what you are teaching your students but it surely isnt real wing chun

Why so much shoving into a mattress? Imagine shoving the attacker through a large plate glass window, severing his arteries and him bleeding to death in moments. Imagine the shove causing him to fall on the top of a fire hydrant severing his spinal cord, leaving him a paraplegic/quadriplegic. Or how about shoving him in front of a fully-loaded speeding garbage truck or cement truck? Hey, Lam is trying to put the dudes and dudettets to be on a vertical bed, when they practice!

Attack/defend should be modified without chi sau bridge, to have opponent throw all kinds of jabs, kicks. No one in the street or fight and otherwise is gonna punch up the middle nor do chi sau. Of course, go slow and have intent to not hurt.... yet have capacity to take a hit.

@@wingchunbjjtiger I’ve been in fights in the streets it’s not a mythical, magical, mystical place to me so I am very aware that no one chi sau’s in the street. I am also Aware that chi sau trains things to supplement street fighting I also do other drills so not really sure what you’re saying. But as a wing Chun man you have to test your drills in chi sau people way smarter faster and better than me and you who created the system believe in the power of chi sau to train other things so I will continue to do it. Also I take my lesson plan from Sifu not anyone else he is who I am there to learn from.

1. Students stop their punches waited for Sifu to parry and many many times those punches would had landed. 2. All punches straight down centerline with no variations, making it easier to defend. 3. All punches have no pull back or rechamber, held static like wooden dummy. Multiple moves around a static wooden dummy is unrealistic.
@evaszanto84154 жыл бұрын
i do wing chun and have the same feeling about it, most of th time pratice against straight punches , but it is just to play around and train different hands, in sparring getting more real of course. Against the average joes on street my wing chun was always working, and yes i could not fight with my skills in mma for that i would need to train differently. peace

My problem is his attitude and power display when throwing the students. Our grand master could break our backs and snap our necks but he would never hurt anyone because it is unnecessary and could be regarded as an insult. On the other end, students are respectful to their teacher and therefore training together does not allow them to test and apply their speed and strength to the fullest.

Aaaaand a hatchet strike or Jut Sao to the collar bone ends the wrestler's fantasy as the takedown begins. For every move there is a counter. Every martial art has value, but only for those wise enough to recognize this.

I was with sifu gary lam. And I am a really good fighter of several styles. Wing chung is for my self the basic of fighting to using always the right ankles and positions. And I know how important it is to train on the limit nearly a real life hardcore situation. For example Sifu Bozetepe or Bruce were training in the same way. I started Kung Fu, Judo and Ju jiutzu with 4 years of age. With 12 I started Wing chung and wrestling. Now I have a natural way to fight that suited best to me in any given situation. Why you have always to implement that everyone is talking shit??? And again I was with Sifu Gary Lam and his knowledge about Wing Chung is great but that changes nothing about the fact that in such static, easy situations you learn nearly NOTHING about fighting and for sure not these days where noone is coming straight to you with slowly chain punches.....if yes tell me where??? Watch the training of emin bozetepe and you will see why my critic is legitim
