how does it do in real-world bump-steer scenarios ... say you hit a small irregularity in the road while you're buried in a in a turn? Does the read-end come WAY out, or is it controllable? That's always been my fear with buying a Vette (esp the C4 series).

The car really never got upset, you had to do something wrong for it to be unhappy. This car taught me a whole lot about driving fast.

Thanks - good to know! A while back I drove a friend's C4 but it felt REALLY twitchy - I think his shocks were going out in the back, which would explain the behaviour.

C4s are underrated handling cars

A C4 equipped with the FX3 ride control helps mitigate some of these tendencies as well. Shock rates adjust based upon speed, so at slow speeds going over bumps and stuff, shocks are softer, higher speeds, shocks get progressively stiffer.

On good tires c4's can pull 1g in turns.
