That was really great of you to do that for your friend. C4's are really over looked and they are much better than people give them credit for. Case in point; It was so good that it got banned from SCCA competition! You have a Callaway, he took one and set a top speed record in a C4 that took decades to break! One can get one and with some basic mods you can have a great performer. Look up the article on Dick Guldstrand's GS-80 he built one heck of a performer.

I still can't believe people are sleeping on theses c4s. The c4 falls into that sweet spot where if you beat it in a race: " so what it's an old 80s car" or if it beats you in a race: "ofcourse it's a corvette they're fast cars" Also the montage at the end was icing on the cake.

I have a much broader youtube video coming to really give the C4 some eyes hopefully....a few vids actually. We need more videos on C4's that spread the desire to younger dudes on a budget. C4's are the most underbuilt, underrated cars out there, to mod/own. Some people may not like what younger gens do to them, but hey...it keeps the car going. The C4 just lacks aftermarket and that will come....via Knightdrivetv for sure. Thanks for watchin to the end! That's rare!

Awesome, you're a good guy spreading that C4 thrill over to your compadre. They all need some love when it comes to C4's. But that's part of the deal. Enjoy the drive, work on it, fix it, then go out and enjoy it some more till the next time. Isn't anything to hard. Just having the patience to run stuff down. I find the thrill of victory after finding that issue that isn't always what you think. Always a learning curve. Hey miles of smiles, and hope that youngster gets his turn.

The ZR1 engine was designed by Lotus and built by Mercury Marine. The machining tolerances, at production volume, was state of the art at Mercury. They were the only ones capable of mass producing the LT5, at the time. Thanks for watching the video! Trying to upload more frequently

I like your videos I have a 1986 c4 has z51 package but with work I don't have the time I need to get it going .Ihave done lots of work putting in the wiring harness. It was burnt up . I look at your videos for inspiration 😅I can't drive mine yet this best I can do . Any way my wife is disabled and even bought a weal chair to fit in it so we can go rideing . I really need to get it going.

My Uncle worked on the Zr1 at lotus in Norfolk.. Unfortunately he died this year so was unable to find out what he did.. He did say they had lots of c4s sent to Lotus and that they all had to be crushed but I think one or two disappeared and GM wanted them back

Yes, many ZR1's were crushed in Europe, that were GM/Lotus test cars. The scrap was found at some point and I believe they may have recovered one or two.
