C4 Corvette Seat Track Repair

I failed my NCRS Performance Verification because the seat track transmission failed out of the blue, had never made any noise or warning, but didn't work when it really needed to. I watched the video, and now I understand what goes wrong with 30+ year old plastic parts. I'm going to do both seats. Thanks for the video and for the parts. I can do this!

Yep. it's not difficult -- just very tedious. I recommend doing a trial run dry before you put a bunch of grease in it.

Hi Rich, this is the guy who had two C4 driver seat tracks repaired by you the last couple of months. Good video. I think I can even do one of these repairs. Now I will go to the 2nd video.

Hi Richard, Got my transmission back and installed it. You did an awesome job and you were meticulous in what you did. Everything works great once I installed the unit. I will make sure that I don't keep pushing the seat back once it hits the stop. Thanks for your service. You are awsome.

Groove on the gear probably helps hold the grease around that area

That seems like the logical thing GM would do, but that doesn't explain why some have the groove facing up and some down. Its usually about half and half.
