This song feels oddly familiar to how things always are in Minecraft when new updates roll along. "What's this? New things? New craftable items?"... And then you get all adjusted to the new stuff, you relax in it. And soon you're back the way things once were. Off to explore, or off to mine. Maybe search for the illusive diamonds.

This song is like finally going home after a long day's work, and being able to lay in your bed safely, or like after escaping from somewhere, just the absolute relief of being safe. I remember the time, ten years ago when I was having the worst day of school ever. Although I do not truly remember what it was that reflected my mood that day and made me so deteriorated; and ironic when considering what sunny and gorgeous day it was; something that I do remember is sprinting home from my childhood school; as seven year old me; just wanting to go straight home and play the Minecraft Beta edition festive world on the living room TV through our PlayStation 3 that my parents bought for me and my baby brother for Christmas. I remember that day; one moment of school in an overwhelm of tears and distressed emotions; and the next, five minutes later, playing on this silly little Christmas world; published in 2014; with no distress present in my system. This was the song that I first heard when I opened the world; and my emotions had completely seized by the 2:35 milestone; and through every single time I will continue to listen to this soundtrack; cry at such point in the song. I do not want to; but I truly feel it. There is something so special about those final moments in the song - do you feel it too? I feel that the soundtrack and generalised comfort of the game dynamic itself invited my youthful soul to seize stress amidst my misunderstanding and frazzled perception of the now reinforced; screwed up state of the world; and I can not forget that ever again. The moral of this entire reflection is that this game was my life. Through the toughest times in my childhood, I reminisce my present self going back in time through any circumstance and relive those first moments again. Such would be so healing for me - an elucidation of individuality, if you will - that would actualise myself to comprehend the generalised catastrophe of discovering my implicit potential through being a misunderstood, lost; and possibly autistic 17 year old female. In this fucked up state I am now in; with only my art and past transparency to comfort me; I furtherly accept that the game disk that intertwined all of such experience into possibility is gone; somewhere in bits and pieces across the world; and this means that for me to experience in the traditional light again is unrealistic and inevitably derivative, but such legacy shall continue. I will not give up; because I am comprehensive that the little Sophia that played such map in the middle of July with no prevalence of deterioration through these memories lives on in me; and if I kill me; I am killing the blessing - the augmentation of belonging and actualisation - of this game, too. Although "you do not own this world, so progress will not be saved", the memories and comfort that this game offered me is something I will cherish until the day that I will die. In short- I have two words; for all of the game developers and other minorities of builders, C418 and Notch himself. For everything; for the comfort; and the childhood that you have truly gifted me. Thank you.

I remember years and years back on the festive pack on the Xbox 360 fighting with my friend under a huge Christmas tree with sticks and snowballs. We build huge diamond bases while this music played. I accidentally heard this song when I had the full soundtrack play. It literally woke me up while I was sleeping and brought me to tears... I didn't know I was making memories back then.

Another Christmas, another year of loneliness I can imagine myself years later in the last week of November finding an abandoned baby in the alleyway and deciding to adopt the child and making sure to raise the kid right

This is definitely my favourite piece of music from Minecraft. It is full of mystery and uneasiness and I love it. The first half, anyway. The second half is too lighthearted to be paired with it IMO. I can imagine the first part playing when a realisation hits you, or if a war starts and you are trying to get your family to safety. Its a bit weird and sad, but I could fall asleep to it.

A few of these tracks aren't actually in the game but were still created so that's most likely why you won't have heard them. However this was in the game for a festive mashup pack Mojang did for i believe one of the consoles, but that was a while ago like back in idk 2014 maybe?

Whenever I listen to this song, I get the vision of it being night, and i'm in a small brown wooden bar-like room alone while it's snowing outside. It's a weird feeling, this song just gives me a "happy yet uncompleted" vibe. (And yes I did used to play the Christmas Mashup on my X Box One years ago, and im still able to play it!

Feels like flying slowly above a snowy forest. Small village nearby, 2016 version minecraft, small hills and spruce trees. The sun in the sky. Looking up from your screen and watching snow fall outside on your school’s winter vacation. Hot cocoa

They should do this song as a option for Christmas for your world.OR THEY COULD BRING IT BACK, And maybe even put it on Java.

there's actually multiple references to Japanese culture throughout C418's music, for instance, the name of 'Ki', C418's album 'One', and other references...
@knotthensa1598 жыл бұрын
***** tsku no kombi (it's literally sung in Japanese), and some of the instruments used in 'One'. Also, Kaneda's Theme can be heard in a retexture of 'Social Lego' from 'One' in C418's 'Kaneda'.
