C47 bezel replacing the stock DM42 plate

Demo taking off the standard metal DM42 bezel, to replace it with a C47 template.
Warning: If you repeat this procedure, it would be entirely at your own risk as it has neither been approved nor commented on by SwissMicros. It is a risky procedure and your warranty will likely be void if you poke around the keyboard with a screwdriver, as is shown in this video. These are my calculators, they are out of warranty and I expect no (free) remedy from SwissMicros should anything go wrong during this procedure!
2nd warning: A bit of stickiness on some keys may be experienced due to the keys sticking to the new template this way. This can be fixed in two ways - one way would be before installing the template and another afterwards. There will be another video on this installation tip.

Nice job. Thanks for sharing. I did some faceplate removals on other equipment in the past by pre-heating it with a hair dryer to soften the glue a little.

uff.. So that's why they won't offer replacement keycaps, isn't it? They're part of the case itself, so you'd have to relocate the screen as well. And here I was hoping to try printing a new keyboard with custom labels etched into them. I wasn't so brave when I installed the C47 bezel: I just put it atop the stock one.

I would not be surprised if your warranty would be invalid should you remove parts of the original DM42, i.e. their metal bezel. Sticking our polycarb bezel on top as per the other video on this channel, would be safer as you are not disassembling the Dm42.
