Actually one can start with 4 meal too according to his/her schedule one can give and intake too. My baby is 7.5 month I give 5 meal with small and different food

Try these tips: 1) offer only when your baby is hungry 2) do not offer soon after milk or formula ( as they will be full and not hungry).. wait 30-40 minutes and then feed 3) do not give solids around sleep time ( when sleepy or soon after waking up from sleep ) Hope this helps:)
