Alright, just to make this clear;-). I know that this is not exactly realistic water, but the flock modifier will definitely make your particles move more interesting (and in my opinion more like fluids).
Finally! We have a new particles system in Cinema 4D 2024.4 and I´m more then excited about it.
Let´s start with one of the coolest effects and advect some particles with the pyro advect modifier in the new particles system.
I´m also super curious how Insydium and X-particles will compare to the new natice C4D particles and will create several lessons about that in the future.
Disclaimer: For now I can say, that X-Particles are (of course) way more versatile and powerful, but... this might change in the near future and Maxon is doing an important step here, to implement a better powerful particles engine.
Exciting times, for sure...

Nice tutorials! Hopefully we can get actual fluid systems in the next C4D updates, so artists wouldn't need to rely on x-particles or other plugins.

Can totally see your experience in particles to be able to art direct this system so fast.

Thank you for the lesson. Do you know if it is possible to put a polygonal mesh on the particles, how is this implemented in the RealFlow plugin?

does changing the particle radius affect distance/ create collisions between particles?

How can i emmit a 3d object like a sphere as in the old system

Well, that should be simple. Just put a RS Object Tag on your ParticleGroup. In the RS Object tga there should be a particles slider, set it´s mode to costum objects.

Add an RSMB or a Pixel Motion Blur on top of it and the motion blur could basically sold the effect of fluid right ?

@@3DBONFIRE For example, I haven’t found a way to generate an object instead of dots, as is done in the standard particle system
