Compact tablets are amazing, and the fact that it has an extra USB C port and USB pass through and micro SD in itself is a good pro for it. Only if it did get after market ROM support, it'd be amazing.

Even though I think macro cameras are completely useless in most scenarios, a tablet it's maybe the only place where even a low resolution one can be kinda useful, let's face it, back cameras in tablets are for scanning documents, and sometimes it might be useful to go so close that a regular camera will not keep focus, they should have used a 5 MP camera , but even a 2 MP will do close scanning well enough.

I love a compact tablet & I just wish Xiaomi can continue to make the real successor to Mi Pad 4 since their current tablets including Redmi Pad Pro are too large for my liking. Probably the same form factor as Lenovo Y700 (dual USB-C, expandable storage, size) but with SD 8s Gen 3, a headphone jack, better cameras on both sides, 5G connectivity & of course, better software updates.

How is software support? The software support is the only reason I went with Google for my tablet. It does everything that I need it to. I don't use it for gaming at all since my phone handles that. I use it for email and web browsing. For this the Google Pixel tablet works well enough and better than any iPad. The iPad is the worst tablet for browsing the internet.

Ash Anna on your upcoming Oneplus pad 2 review kindly include points on comparing it to the redmi pad pro 5g launched recently in India. And I have a doubt whether the OnePlus pad 2 actually supports Dolby Vision and whether it's actually working. Cause the techbar channel recently posted a pad 2 video and mentioned that it's not showing in Netflix and all. Also OnePlus pad 2 is 10bit panel and redmi pad pro 5g is 12bit panel. Whether it is actually noticeable. Whether the colours are actually good in redmi.

If we are going to pay such a high price, they need to solve 3 basic problems in the next model. 1- They should use an up-to-date processor. Even when this tablet came out, its processor was old. 2- There must be at least 5 years of update support. 3- It should correct some of its deficiencies. For example, 3.5mm headphone jack, good stylus pen, at least 90W fast charging etc.

I don't understand what's the deal with new Android Tablets skipping the damn fingerprint scanner. I really have been holding off on buying one no matter how good the spec sheet is, solely due to no fingerprint scanner being a dealbreaker. Defiantly not for everyone, nice hardware, screen okay. My problems is the haptic feedback, it just not good enough for anything more than for media playback, the tampered glass is to hard in my opinion. Its advertised as a gaming tablet and with the above mentioned and the form factor 16:10, you might just as well use 6.8 inch phone instead. As media consumption device perfectly fine. Hardware just okay for the price, software implementation suck big time on this device to point of being floppish.

I have the (hacked) global version... Beautiful all languages.... I think it is the official one, but that has a block because although announcement it still isn't globally launched... The hackers did hack the block I think, because everything is in my own Dutch language without translation problems and it works perfect..... Only problem so far is that it sometimes has difficulty writing on the extra sd card... Don't understand it.... Sometimes it don't recognise the sd card..... Then it has another design problem... The drowning of the battery is bad... After a few hours It's empty... The screen drowns it..... And a second design failure for me it the missing of the simcard... You can't use it away from home.... You need a hotspot.. And dialling is also not possible without simcard.... Luckily whatsapp etc works perfect.... I never like the original launcher, so nova helps me fully with it's best launcher. What really is nice is the own task bar at the bottom... Like on a laptop.... You can place the apps you want (in groups) in 7 places . It can't be disabled.. the (nova) launcher is placed above it. What also very beautiful is, is that it plays all the local tv apps... Perfect... It has global allowance of tv and film casting.... Really good And the sound is beautiful.... Not so much low tones, but very nice.... I had difficulty installing 40 of my 400 apps in playstore .. I got them from apkpure.. That worked and after installation from apkpure they could be updated at playstore... Strange... Maybe it's not 100% playstore compatible.. So at the end still missing my Simcard the rest is nearly perfect..(just have a big powerbank at hand if you're not at home) I don't play games but do a lot of multitasking, widgets etc... It's fast. So screenprotector, transparent case, sd card, ordered a special pen...maybe a keyboard... The show goes on It replaces my huawei mediapad m6 8.4 .... Which works always perfect desperate the 'slow' processor, antutu score is low, but it never freezes, always works smoothly... And it has a simcard !! And gives a perfect handsfree sound.... And sd-card... It is also a hacked global version in my own language.... Unfortunately after the last update 2 years ago Google was blocked... Nowadays this can be solved by using gspace... And Microsoft Outlooks helps to use Google agenda and email... Contacts can be imported... It didn't play local tv... That was always a great pity... So together with a simple phone with hotspot the lenovo is allround.... I also use Samsung S9 ultra with simcard and keyboard (as a laptop) , 14.6 inch... This is the beautiful mini version... Just the simcard,, 😊😊😊 otherwise it would replace my smartphone....
