I got this phone. It is a excellent phone at this price point. I have not faced any issues with the auto brightness after the update. But the major pain point for me is that there is almost no aftermarket cases for this, and the good ones are always sold out. I always want my phone with a better protection and unlike most big name brands, Lava's case market is bad. Just note if that is a concern for you
