C5 Corvette Exhaust - XS Power long tube headers, XS Power 3" catted x-pipe, Corsa Mufflers. Cam Motion Titan 4 camshaft (227/232, 113+4, .612/.595). PRC stage 1 ported 243 heads. Motor is just over 11:1 compression.
I've been very happy with the exhaust sound. Definitely wakes the neighbors but not bad on the hwy when cruising.

70* and sunny... perfect day for a drive! Though it's a narrow window for days like that... we go from pollen season to sweltering heat pretty quick, haha.

How much timing did you tuner add at WOT? Did you get a conservative tune for road course duty to keep temps in check? I would think an aggressive tune would make more than 408whp.

The corvettes just sounds so good! Would love to try and get that sound on my rx7 LS swap! Good stuff and love the videos. They really helped me out on my cammed ls1 4th gen camaro about a year ago! God bless!

Awesome project. You can typically get a deal on a salvage title and end up with a really solid car. Are you building it for the street or track? What year?

Scruf's Garage 2003 with a 6 speed, planning on it being a street car with track provisions. I’m hoping to get into autocross and road courses but it’ll be a weekend warrior until I get more experience with the drivetrain.

Love the sound of the Vette. Do you have it cammed? Do the XS headers have clearance issues? I might get them after this video

Yes, I've got a Cam Motion Titan 4 camshaft. It's a mid-sized cam 227/232, enough chop to keep it interesting, but still driveable. As for the XS Power long tubes, check out my install video for some of the clearance issues I had. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g4m3qGqZqMymjcU Some people report not having any issues, but that wasn't my experience. Overall they seem to be of good quality, but maybe inconsistent in fitment.

Hey how's it going? Im about to tear down my C5 tow rebuild it for road course racing. How did you like the cam motion cam? I was thinking about going with that one but numbers do see a little low. Could find any other videos in following info. What type of heads and were they worked at all? Also what throttle body size were you using? Im hoping to get closer to around 450ish. Please Let me know it would be hugely appreciated

Mine was running PRC stage 1 ported 243 heads from Texas Speed. I also had a ported Dorman LS2 intake manifold and a 90mm TB. You may have already seen it, but there's a dyno video here (kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipzIqqyaZb6WnZI) and I have several videos about the intake manifold, etc. Overall, I really liked the Cam Motion Titan 4 camshaft. I definitely considered it a mid-sized cam. I gained power pretty much everywhere in the rpm range. A larger cam likely would have larger peak gains, but possibly more in the upper rpms. So it kinda depends on personal preference. I still wanted to be able to drive mine on the street, so I didn't want a cam that was so choppy that I couldn't run the AC at a stop light, etc.

Yea I'm happy with it. It's got just enough chop at idle to be fun, but not so much that it wants to stall all the time, haha.

A bunch. Motor is built. Forged rods/pistons, TPS ported 243 heads, decked slightly, so compression is around 11:1, nothing crazy, runs on 93 pump gas. Cam Motion Titan 4 camshaft. Ported Dorman LS2 intake manifold with 90mm TB. XS Power long tube heads with XS Power 3" catted x pipe, and Corse exhaust. The engine build is documented on my channel so if you want to see anything particular in the build, there's probably a video on it.

How many miles and is the trans stock

Car had around 68k miles, and the new motor had maybe 2k miles on it. Stock transmission. 4.10 gears in the diff.

Are these corsa sport mufflers or corsa extreme?

Honestly I'm not sure. Those mufflers were on the car when I got it and were the only part of the exhaust I reused (headers were new and the x-pipe was new). My guess is they were the Sport because they were not obnoxiously loud. Though the system did get louder going from the 2.5" mid-pipe to the 3".

@@ScrufsGarage I believe you’re right. If you look closely, you can see an inlet and exit pipe in the muffler. The extremes only have an inlet and act more like a hemholtz resonator than a true muffler. You might be the only person on KZbin that has LT headers, x-pipe and corsa sport, which is a good thing! Every other video has the corsa extremes, and with LT headers it’s just too much to handle.
