C5 Corvette Headlight Gear Change

So, after overnighting the parts from Japan (aka Amazon), I replaced both of the motors and now they go up and down.

I sold my c5. I inherited a 1974 stingray 454 1 of 15 produced ( special order) with 375hp 454. Standard for last year was 260hp. It's a show car so I've put all my time into it. My c5 was just sitting so I sold it. Nice to see you working on urs. Love that vette

A tip: Make sure you don't break or lose the little mounting tab on the harness and not hoe the harness attaches to it.

Don’t buy a new motor. You need to adjust the stops. Its the two tabs( 1 top, 1 bottom) and the should have plastic covers over them. They are about 1/2 wide.

I wish it was that simple. Looks like it’s a wiring issue now. Might have melted somewhere tbh. Need to hunt it down since even the headlights are sometimes coming on and sometimes off. Otherwise, it might be the switch

All you had to do was replace the nylon gear with the brass gear on the passenger side, and not the motor assembly

Did that…but doesn’t do any good if the motor is busted. The motor is about the same price as well
