Absolutely amazing! The C5 has one of the most complicated landing gear systems in the aviation world. And, to see the detail that was paid to this plane is absolutely amazing! This gear retracts and extends just as a real life C5 does!! I'm impressed.

Great job. I work on this aircraft for a living and the sequence of the gears is spot on. I love the fact that I get to tear apart, fix, and rig the gear so it works just like that. Great job.

Very well done. I worked C-5's for several years and the landing gear is the most troublesome part. If you ever see a C-5 close up you will see that the jacking points are mounted on there permanently. Too bad your flies fast like a fighter and not "I think i can I think I can" like a fat Fred. But you made an excellent model.

Just watched this again, after 10 months. Still enjoy this one. The real C-5s also have a distinctive high pitch sound from the engines! I thought that was funny listening to this one. Really like the on-board camera views. Seeing the landing gear, and the flaps coming down makes me feel like I'm on board the flight. Intresting landing. Thank you again.

Just brilliant! You captured the airplane and the mechanical systems perfectly! I used to work landing gear issues on the C-5 when they were overhauled in San Antonio over 20 years ago. I still see them flying all the time out of the 433rd. I wouldn't be surprised if you were the Lockheed engineer that designed the landing gear.

Very nice, beautiful model. I miss this big old plane. (Air Force, Altus OK 1978-80) This plane is so big it looks like it is flying in slow motion. Would like to see a good view looking forward on top and/or on bottom. You have done a wonderful job, thank you.

Great clips of gear retraction! Would love to see a video of your gear retracting & extending on the bench. Whether full scale or scaled, RG can be a complicated operation, a choreography of synchronized actions. Of course the more complicated the action, the more likely for failure. It is rare to see full, closeup video clips of RG at work, even full size in movies, news, etc. Usually the filming is cut right before gear retracts or extends, instead of zooming in on the action. Well done!
