When President Bush visited my hometown, his C5 support plane was landing. It was about 10 miles away from me, maybe 1,500 to 1,800 ft. high. The plane looked like it was trying to land in the road! The Pilot had to wind it up a little to maintain his altitude, and it sounded like it was right next to me! I was at Barksdale, and it was the same way. The only plane that impressed me more was the B1-B. With all 4 AB's lit up taking off, that was a sight to see and hear. @RCAvhstapeАй бұрын
Flanging is a sound modation effect which was invented by running a tape deck in a studio with one's finger lightly rubbing on the flange of the tape reel, causing the left and right channels to go in and out of phase with each other. So with multiple engines buzzing at almost, but not exactly, the same rpms, you may get a phasing or flanging effect.
