After going to Turkey Rod Run in Daytona for 25+ years, I'm hanging it up. The staff has decide to implement rules against any personal scooters inside the venue. Apparently, they don't realize their crowd is getting older and not able to walk miles in a day with assistance or a scooter. They have enforced no personal scooters, however you can rent their personal scooters for $100/day. Go figure! Not sure how any board could make this decision without violating ADA laws. I guess it sucks that we are getting old and in the way of their agenda.

I saw it as in 2 wheel’d style scooters and bikes kids like to ride around and bounce off of cars. Not disability style scooters. Maybe I’m wrong. I’ll have to look further into it. Either way I’ll be out there for turkey rod nights
