I had an original of this and I recall finding a bug; One of the pieces on one side, I think it was the Juggernaut, wouldn't go diagonal in one direction. One of my favorite tactics with the Juggernaut in the fire realm was to stand in front of a batch of fire against the edge of the screen, or better yet, the corner. The computer would try to ram me and end up in the fire. :) I also liked attacking Adepts with a Gorgon in the Earth realm. Play peek-a-boo around the rocks and freeze him.

I was a Wraith player back in the 80s. Those were pretty much all that I summoned in all 4 domains.

The Wraith was nasty - moved fast, was invisible and sucked the health of the other player - totally overpowered

I love youtube you can look up anything and find all kinds of shit it's fun to look back at your child hood games I'm 36 I played this when I was about 13 or so. Verry fun 2 player game.

i think this was a very strong influence on later games such as the unholy war Archon series and another game called powerplay really influenced the TBS games we see more and more of today

As a kid it took me years to understand how this game works. Ok.. the magic point victory was easy, but the small things like hit point changes based on unit/ plane type, how to play best adepts, what influenced the properties of the 2 master unit - provided one tries winning with non-magic point domination. I've really loved this game.. except for one thing: the wraith unit against computer player. Player controlled wraiths are visible for the computer, while computer controlled wraiths are invisible - that unit was only fun in human vs human games.

The computer knows where the wraith is all the time so it was actually farer to also show the player their own unit.

@@rinzlerthehunter539 It's the Thunderbird in this game, and it works more like the Unicorn from Archon 1. The Firebird (Phoenix) blew up in a big fireball as it's attack. Kind of like the Wraith/Banshee

Impressive win!!! I assume you were using a Game Pad like for the Genesis? Your diagonals were very good.. that is hard using the traditional Joysticks... I always used the Epyx XJ500 and the Ergostick back in the day. But when the Genesis came out.. .. the Gamepads worked a bit better in some games than the joysticks.P.S. Great Strategy! I never lost a game back in the 80's when I was in the Navy... But You are very good.. I wish we could go head to head... your very good at this game. It is nice to see a fellow master play! You might beat me!Sluggo

This was fun as a 2 player game was not fun in one player the computer kicked my ass. I liked the fire bird or the fast car. I would love to find this game to day
