I too, never saw the end, my game copy as kid always crashed. Nice to see that the game has an ending. :)

I agree. While Commando had better music and graphics, the gameplay was far better in WDW2. One of my biggest criticisms of the C64 port of Commando was how easy it was to complete the game. The enemy AI in this seems much "smarter" making for a better gameplay experience.

Hmm... if you think about it, the analogy is shockingly appropiate! It's another "almostlookalike" game from the most popular shooter genres of this platform, generic war setting, short single player campaign (just less noob-friendly), you can't go off the path, lots of scripted events, it's a sequel that introduced barely anything new, top graphics (not the best look, but sprites and scrolling was the thing back then)... yup, 8-bit Call of Duty.

I had this game back then. It's a great looking game still today. Beats the Atari XL/XE version by far I see. Shame as i quite like the Atari nowadays
