C8 Corvette Bose Audio review & settings recommendations.

After much fiddling, I have found the audio settings that I believe produce the best sound quality. The Bose system is fabulous but with a few setting tweaks, it’s even better. iMHO.

Thanks for the info! Quick point of clarity - wireless CarPlay doesn’t use Bluetooth for audio. It uses an ad-hoc point to point WiFi connection to transfer everything - audio, graphics, and data.

Yes, I have a trained air and that is how I put my setting in a lot of vehicles with smaller speakers in the front and bigger speakers in the back. Get a much fuller rich sound. However, I think the engine makes a nice sound also. Will be betting my C8 in March. Thanks for the tip on the settings. Saves me time.

@@Rickstop When I get mine. If the signal is wireless and not blue tooth, it should be better sounding. I will not get my car until March. I agree, Blue tooth produces ugly sound.

You are spot on with the bluetooth versus Wired connection, There is a hug sound quality difference. I have been messing with the settings for a while trying to find the best sound. I will definitely give this a try and see how it sounds. Like you I listen to a large range of rock music os finding a happy medium is sometimes hard.

I have listen to the premium Bose 14 Spkr Sound System in my C8 for about 2 months now. I have to say - given that it's a sports car - its alright - not great - but alright . I can make my ears ring easily - but I never had that audio "Wow" moment. Its just a little better than what I had in my base Lexus (non premium sound system) CT200h (i.e. Lexus version of the Prius). But on the most part - I have no regrets about it.

Arent the 10" "subs" in the doors? if so, would that be considered "front" in the fade settings?

Yes, they do have the subs in the doors. That being said, they are still considered the back speakers in the fade layout. There are no subs on the dash, only tweeters. So when you pull the fade back, you are pulling power from those tweeters which allows the subs to draw more power in proportion to them. That is the main goal along with adding more base and mid range to the bass drivers.
